Thank You!
ActKnowledge completed our first general training in theory of change methodology May 19-21 at the Graduate Center. We thank our trainees, who are all skilled facilitators in social change work, for the skill, commitment, and knowledge they brought to the training and shared with one another. We all learned a great deal!
Discussion Forum Coming
So many questions came up in the May training that we thought of setting up a forum on this website where people practicing theory of change could raise questions on theory of change practice, discuss issues, and receive answers. We at ActKnowledge are now investigating just how to do this! We shall first post the questions raised at the end of the training and give our own best answers. Once we set up the forum you can discuss, give your own answers, and raise your own questions.
Customized Training
Theory of Change trainings are available upon request, and conducted on site at organizations. All trainings listed below are customized for the particular organization or foundation, based on their field, the level of knowledge of trainees, and the organization's goals for learning.
We provide the following courses:
Introduction - covers what Theory of Change is, how to use, what is involved. One day.
Theory of Change Methodology - teaches participants how to be stakeholders in TOC development, all the steps and components. Practice and hands-on work. Three days.
Theory of Change Facilitation Training - this is offered only to experienced and skilled facilitators, to teach them the content and process of TOC development. Three to five days.
Costs range from $2000 to $25000 depending on the number of participants, number of days, and number of trainers. We try to work within an organization's budget and develop the scope that is right for that situation.
Please contact Dana Taplin at dtaplin@actknowledge.org to discuss specifics, or to create custom courses.
